Please ensure we can access your electricity meter, main fuse and consumer unit (fuse box).
These may be located inside your property, garage, utility room or an external meter cupboard.
2. Proposed Charger Location
Please consider where you would ideally like your EV charger positioned.
Ensure we can access the proposed location, including your driveway, garage or parking area.
3. Access Around Your Property
Please ensure we can access the areas between your electricity supply and the proposed charger location so we can assess potential cable routes.
4. Electrical Documentation
If available, please have a copy of your most recent Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) or relevant electrical installation certificates.
Don't worry if you don't have these documents. We can still carry out the visual survey and record any information that requires further verification.
5. Someone Available During the Survey

To help us complete your Solar PV survey efficiently, please ensure the following areas are accessible and any relevant information is available before our visit.
1. Loft Access
Access to your loft is required to accurately assess the roof structure as part of your Solar PV survey.
Please ensure your loft hatch is accessible and the surrounding area is clear before our visit.
We will need to inspect the roof timbers, including the rafters and supporting structure, and take measurements where safely accessible.
Important: If the loft cannot be accessed safely, we may be unable to complete the full roof structure assessment. Any limitations will be recorded in your survey report, and further inspection may be required.
2. Access Around Your Property
Please ensure we can access the outside of your property to assess the roof, shading and potential cable routes.
3. Electricity Meter & Consumer Unit
Please ensure we can access your electricity meter, main fuse and consumer unit (fuse box).
4. Electricity Bill & Unit Rate
Please have a recent electricity bill available showing your electricity unit rate (pence per kWh) and annual electricity consumption (kWh), if available.
If you have different day/night rates or a variable tariff, please have those details available too.
Please also be prepared to discuss:
Current electricity usage: Any significant electrical appliances or systems currently in use, such as an EV charger, heat pump, electric heating or immersion heater.
Future electricity requirements: Any planned additions, such as an electric vehicle, EV charger, heat pump, battery storage or other equipment that may increase electricity consumption.
This information helps us record your current energy usage and understand any future requirements that should be considered when planning your Solar PV system.
You can usually find your electricity tariff and consumption details on your electricity bill or through your energy supplier's online account or app.
5. Roof & Electrical Documentation
If available, please have any roof plans, structural drawings, recent electrical certificates or information about previous roof alterations ready.
These documents are helpful but are not mandatory.
6. Proposed Equipment Location
Please consider where you would prefer any associated equipment, such as an inverter, to be positioned.
We can discuss suitable locations during the survey.
7. Someone Available During the Survey
Please ensure someone aged 18 or over is present to provide access and answer any questions about the property.
Please note: Our surveys are visual and non-invasive. You do not need to climb onto the roof, enter the loft yourself or remove any electrical covers before our visit.
